Developing the strategic part of the brand is essential to establish a strong and consistent identity, which will allow you to create emotional connections with the target audience and differentiate yourself from competitors. Below are the main elements to be defined in this step:
Purpose (Why does the brand exist?):
Purpose is the brand's reason for being its deepest and most inspiring mission that goes beyond just selling products or services. It must answer the question: "Why do we exist and what impact do we want to make on the world?" The purpose must be authentic, relevant and reflect the company's values.
Personality (How does the brand behave?):
The brand personality is a representation of the human characteristics attributed to the brand. It's how she behaves, how she interacts and how she communicates with the public. Personality can be friendly, sophisticated, energetic, reliable, among others.Values (What does the brand believe in?):
Values are fundamental principles that guide all brand actions and decisions. They must be aligned with the purpose and essence of the company. The values serve as a guide for the brand's practices and influence its corporate culture.
Essence (How does the brand want to be perceived?):
The essence is the emotional and aspirational image that the brand wants to evoke in the public. It is the feeling or perception that the brand seeks to convey when someone comes into contact with it.
Positioning (Strategy to occupy a unique place in the mind of the target audience):
Positioning is how the brand differentiates itself from competitors in the minds of the target audience. It must identify a unique space that the brand can occupy and that is relevant to the needs and desires of the public.
